Congratulations, you've made it to the weekend!

Today on Face It Friday, Elizabeth is going to make 3 different face masks from LEMONS!

Lemon is a great ingredient for several reasons:  the vitamin C boosts collagen giving a more radiant and youthful appearance; potassium to help hydrate your skin; lutein to help fight against harmful UV rays; and citric acids to help tighten pores.

The first face mask is for acne prone skin.  This mask gently soothes acne and can help reduce scaring.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup of lemon juice
2-3 Tbsp of honey
1/2 tsp of baking soda

Mix together (it will bubble) and apply to your face.  Allow it to sit for 15 to 20 minutes then rinse with cool water and pat dry.

The second face mask is to help with redness and discoloration.

Ingredients:

1 tsp of lemon juice
1 Tbsp of honey
1 Tbsps of plain yogurt
1/4 tsp of turmeric (optional)

Mix ingredients together and apply to your face.  Allow to sit for 10 minutes then rinse with cool water and pat dry.

The third mask is for sensitive skin.  This mask is gentle and full of vitamins to help hydrate and calm your skin.

Ingredients:

1 tsp of lemon juice
1 egg white
1/3 tsp of turmeric (optional)

Mix ingredients together and apply to your face.  Allow to sit for 10 minutes then rinse with cool water and pat dry.

And there you have it!  Three easy to make face masks for all skin types using ingredients that are most likely in the your kitchen as we speak!

Have a great weekend and see you next week on Face It Friday!

As always, test any new products on a neutral area of your body (inside of arm or back of the hand) and consult a dermatologist.
